ANZ Worldline Payment Solutions announces a new collaboration with Discover® Network, to enable Discover®, Diners Club International® and network alliance cards, across a range of in-person and ecommerce payment solutions.
With network alliance cards including BC Card (South Korea), Cabal (Argentina), Dina Card (Serbia), Elo (Brazil), Mercury (UAE), RuPay (India) and Troy (Türkiye), this represents more than 378 million additional cards¹ from across the globe that ANZ Worldline customers would be able to accept.
This collaboration builds on ANZ Worldline’s existing range of local and international payment brands accepted across a range of solutions, including WeChat Pay, UnionPay and Alipay+ including AlipayHK, Kakao Pay, Touch ‘n Go eWallet, TrueMoney and GCash.
John Collins, Interim CEO, ANZ Worldline Payment Solutions, said the collaboration with Discover® Network means it can help businesses accept a broader range of preferred and trusted payment methods - especially from international tourists.
“We know that many consumers have a preferred payment method and some will even walk away from a purchase if they can’t pay the way they want to²,” he said.
“With the global tourist economy continuing to rebound with some 12.3 million inbound tourists to Australia expected per year by 2029, offering a range of international card brands has never been more important for businesses³.”
