ANZ Worldline Payment Solutions has launched Worldline Pay by Link, a new, secure and convenient way to take payments online or on the go.
Merchants can apply online and once approved and set up, they simply log into the ANZ Worldline Merchant Portal to generate a secure, unique payment link. They can copy and paste it into a text message, social media chat, or email, or generate an email from the portal with the link embedded – no coding or integration needed.
Worldline Pay by Link accepts eftpos, Visa, Mastercard, UnionPay International, AMEX, JCB, Alipay+, PayPal, Google Pay and Apple Pay. Merchants can also choose to enable surcharging to recover their reasonable costs of acceptance.
Steve Aliferis, CEO, ANZ Worldline Payment Solutions, said Worldline Pay by Link is a low fuss payment solution for businesses that want a secure, no-code option for taking payments online.
“While being able to use their preferred payment method is important for consumers, security is also front of mind, especially when paying for things online.
“We know people are rightly suspicious of receiving and clicking on links for fear of scams, but not all links are bad. Customers should be expecting to receive a payment link from the business before clicking. When shared with customers, the payment link references ANZ Worldline Payment Solutions, making it easily recognisable to customers.
“Merchants can also customise the payment page customers see when they open the link, with their logo and brand colours, and add detailed descriptions of the customer's order.”
“For merchants, transactions are authenticated in real-time using 3D Secure 2 to manage the risk of chargebacks and liability for fraudulent transactions,” he said.
Mr Aliferis said Worldline Pay by Link is another example of ANZ Worldline Payment Solutions supporting merchants with a variety of secure payment options to ensure they can accept payments however customers want to pay.
Worldline Pay by Link is available as a standalone solution – no coding or integration needed – or as part of ANZ Worldline Payment Solutions’ ecommerce gateway, Worldline Global Online Pay.
