Which currency will I receive my Transaction settlement in?

You will always receive settlement for all Transactions in AUD.

Are there any additional fees for me to process a DCC Transaction?

No, you will you charged your standard Visa / Mastercard Transaction Fee.

    What cards does DCC support?

DCC is supported by Visa and Mastercard.

Will the customer be charged any additional fees for a DCC Transaction?

No, the total amount in home currency the international cardholder sees is the total amount they will pay. This is inclusive of the exchange rate and exchange rate markup.

How is the DCC exchange rate calculated?

The DCC exchange rates will be updated once in 24 hours on all business days at 7:30 a.m. (CET/CEST*). During Saturday and Sunday there is no updated rate available, hence the rate from Friday morning 07:30 a.m. (CET/CEST) is valid until Monday morning 7:30 a.m. (CET/CEST)

    * CET = Central European Time, CEST = Central European Summer Time.

Where can I check DCC rates?

DCC exchange rates can be printed out from the standalone terminals once DCC is enabled. You can find them in the main menu under “Queries”.

Can the customer pay in another currency (e.g. if the payment terminal shows EUR or AUD, can the customer pay in USD?)

No, the customer only has the choice between the displayed currencies on the terminal.

What does it mean if the DCC Transaction is rejected while the transaction in local currency (AUD) is processed successfully?

It may happen if the issuing bank of the card does not allow to process DCC Transactions. This way customer is forced to pay in the local currency (AUD).

What is the exchange rate markup?

The exchange rate markup (3.5%) is charged for the expense involved in currency conversion. It is included in the exchange rate. It is charged by ANZ Worldline Payment Solutions for DCC Transactions and by the card issuer in the case of payment without DCC.

Can I process a Mail Order Telephone Order (MOTO) Transaction using DCC?

    No

How can I see a history of the DCC Transactions I’ve processed?
